Week 24 baby bump pics and other news
Baby Claire keeps growing and so do I!
We had a great 24-week check-up Wednesday. Dr. Keeton said Claire is measuring perfectly, and everything is right on track. We go back on Monday, March 5, for my gestational diabetes test and an ultrasound. We can't wait to see sweet Claire!
In other news, I start my prenatal yoga classes next Saturday, which I'm very excited about. I love yoga, and I'm looking forward to getting back into it with this ever-expanding belly of mine.
We had the inspections on our house conducted earlier this week, and they went well. Now we just need to set up an inspection date for the new house along with appraisal dates for both, and we'll be one step closer to moving into our new home. We're slated to close on both houses March 29--woohoo!
Hope you all have a great weekend!
Love,
Team Muldrow

Week 24 update
How Far along? I'm so excited about hitting today's six-month milestone!! We only have four months to go :)
Size of the Baby? According to thebump.com, Claire is about the size of a grapefruit. Is it just me, or do some of these food comparisons seem to be moving in the opposite direction?
Maternity Clothes? I'm wearing nothing but maternity clothes these days. I'm definitely looking forward to warmer weather so I can start wearing dresses and flip-flops.
Gender? Sweet little baby girl :)
Movement? Lots! And, drum roll please... Trent finally felt Claire move over the weekend! It was such an exciting moment!!
Sleep? Sleeping continues to be a little more challenging with each passing day. I attribute this mainly to the fact that not only do I have a baby pressing on my bladder, but I also have a uterine fibroid applying pressure. I'm averaging three trips to the bathroom per night :(
Cravings? Thankfully, my Cadbury Creme Egg addiction has subsided somewhat.
Symptoms? I feel great! My belly is getting pretty big, and I've grown so accustomed to being pregnant, that it's hard to imagine that I'll actually have a waistline again.
What I miss? Of course, I still miss sleeping on my back.
Milestones? Trent felt Claire kick! That's the big one we've been waiting for :) We also attended our first baby class Saturday, which was pretty fun, although I think we're in the minority with that impression. What can I say, we've really enjoyed the entire pregnancy experience, crazy as it sounds.
Weight Gain? I'm right on track with a 24-week weight gain of 14 lbs.
What I’m excited about? We're so excited to start setting up Claire's room!
Your baby at 24 weeks (from thebump.com):
Baby's skin is becoming more opaque as the fat starts to pack on. And, thanks to the formation of small capillaries, her newly thick skin is taking on a fresh pink glow.

Wow, that was fast!
Things are moving very quickly with the house.
We've confirmed the offer on our house with the buyers, and the seller of the other house has accepted our offer.
Now we just have to get through the inspections and closings, and we'll be in our new house in less than a month and a half. Exciting times ahead!

Psalm 91: 4-12
4 He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
9 If you make the Lord your refuge,
if you make the Most High your shelter,
10 no evil will conquer you;
no plague will come near your home.
11 For he will order his angels
to protect you wherever you go.
12 They will hold you up with their hands
so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
9 If you make the Lord your refuge,
if you make the Most High your shelter,
10 no evil will conquer you;
no plague will come near your home.
11 For he will order his angels
to protect you wherever you go.
12 They will hold you up with their hands

So, we may be moving...
We have an offer on our house, and we've found a house nearby that we like a lot.
Oh, there's so much to think about as this big decision looms over us. We need to respond to the potential buyers today. We've run the numbers, and we know the move is feasible, but there's so much to consider, especially with Claire on the way.
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we reach a decision.
Love,
Jamie & Trent

Love my sweet Claire! She sure is growing :)
And, here's a new picture of our not-spoiled-at-all pups. Love my Bella Bean and Soph, too :)

22-week update
Baby Claire is steadily growing! Here's the 22-week update from American Pregnancy Association:
Your baby has pretty much taken on the form of a newborn baby, but is incredibly small. Much development will continue to occur over the next 18 weeks. Her skin appears wrinkly, but this is because she has not yet gained enough weight to fill the skin out. The lips are becoming more distinct. The eyes have completely formed, but the iris (the colored portion of the eye) still lacks pigment. The eyelids and eyebrows are in place, and the pancreas is continuing to mature.
We had a great weekend. We visited my cousin and her family in Asheville. My aunt and uncle were in from Dallas, and my mom and Ron were there, too, so it was an all around special treat to have so many loved ones together.
We're borrowing my cousin Luke's crib for Claire so we went to pick it up. I can't wait to start putting her room together. So exciting!
In other exciting news, we registered Claire for Hebron Day School this morning. Oh my goodness, it all feels so real these days :)

21-week update
How Far along? 21 weeks (Only 19 weeks to go!!)
Size of the Baby? According to thebump.com, Claire is about the size of a banana.
Maternity Clothes? Still loving my maternity clothes.
Gender? Sweet little baby girl :)
Movement? Lots!
Sleep? Sleeping is becoming a little more challenging, which is to be expected when sharing a bed with a husband AND a full-size body pillow. It may be time to upgrade to a king-size bed.
Cravings? I have no idea when I developed such a sweet tooth, but I can't get enough sugar these days.
Symptoms? I feel awesome!
What I miss? I still miss sleeping on my back.
Milestones? We're registering Claire for day school Monday morning. Gosh, our baby isn't even here yet, and she's already making plans for school. They grow up so fast!
Weight Gain? 12 lbs
What I’m excited about? Have I mentioned that I'm really ready for Trent to feel Claire move?!
Your baby at 21 weeks (from thebump.com):
-As her digestive system preps for the outside world, she's manufacturing meconium -- the tarry black substance you'll find in her first dirty diaper (ew)!
-If it's a girl, she's already got a lifetime's supply of eggs in her womb--about six million of them!

Only 19 weeks to go! Check out how the belly bump is progressing.

The Return of the Muldrows
That's right, folks. Trent and I are back in SC. Actually, we've been back since Sunday night, but I've had absolutely no spare time to update the blog.
We had a great time in Snowshoe, WV. Although, I must admit, it's strange to go on a "ski trip" and not ski. Oh well, Trent and the rest of the group made up for my lack of time on the slopes. And, for the first time in Team Muldrow ski trip history, I didn't fall a single time! Woohoos are definitely in order.
And, what did I do for four days, you ask? Well, I spent my time eating a lot and sleeping a lot. Not a bad way to spend a few days off if you ask me :)
Here are the only photos Trent and I took during the trip:
Kelli and Steve
Suzi and Dean
Trent and me
While it was awesome to see snow this winter, it's been nice having 65+ degree temps in Columbia the past few days.
Enjoy your day!
