Lord knows I'm some kind of overdue with updating the Muldrow blog. Life happens, and boy has it ever happened to us. Life is cooking in my belly!
That's right, Team Muldrow is adding a new member. Baby Muldrow is scheduled to arrive June 12, 2012. Crazy, right?! Trent and I are beyond excited, and we have every intention of spoiling this kid rotten. We already know he/she's going to discover the cure for cancer and instill world peace when he/she becomes president so what's the harm in a little spoiling?
Besides, we're freaking old, people, and our childhood slipped away decades ago so it's time to relive those glory days with our little one. Words can't express how excited I am about meeting our June bug! Seriously, this whole experience has been one part surreal, one part alien invasion and three parts incredible! Patience has never been my strongest attribute, but a new sense of calm (let's face it, any sense of calm is new to me) has completely taken me over. Hallelujah for Trent, the baby and me!
Today is our 12-week ultrasound, and Baby Muldrow should actually look like a baby today. Hopefully we'll get to hear the heartbeat as well. Yay!
In other exciting news, we've decorated for Christmas, and we even purchased a "real" tree this year. And, get this, we strung multi-color lights! This is the first year I've had a tree with multi-color lights since I was 8. This baby is having an interesting effect on me, but I like it :)
Thanksgiving was awesome, as always. We headed to Granny's and celebrated with lots of family, food and fellowship. It was just what Team Muldrow needed.
Yesterday, we went to Chapin to see Trent's dad, Eddie, inducted into the Chapin Hall of Fame. How cool is that?! Talk about a proud moment for the family! I'm very blessed to have such incredible in-laws, and I can't wait to see them become grandparents!
Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Jamie
