20-week ultrasound and belly pics

Yesterday's ultrasound was incredible! It was the detailed ultrasound where we got to see Claire's major organs, and we received a good report. She's measuring a few days ahead of schedule and her development is right on track.

20-week update

How Far along? 20 weeks (We're halfway there!! Woohoo!!)

Size of the Baby? According to thebump.com, Claire is about the size of a cantaloupe.

Maternity Clothes? Still loving my maternity clothes!

Gender? Baby girl!

Movement? She's on the move a lot these days :)

Sleep? Sleeping is becoming a little more challenging, which is to be expected when sharing a bed with a husband and, at times, two furbabies.

Cravings? Super delicious Cadbury Creme Eggs

Symptoms? I still feel great! I've experienced some lower back pain, but no leg pain or swelling to speak of.

What I miss? I definitely miss sleeping on my back.

Milestones? We're looking forward to today's 20-week ultrasound :)

Weight Gain? 11 lbs

What I’m excited about? I'm so ready for Trent to feel Claire move!

Claire's first dollhouse

Remember the illogical purchases I mentioned? Here's another one to add to the list.

So cute, I know! Assembling this dollhouse bookcase was the highlight of Trent's Saturday night. Yes, we're extremely exciting people :)

Cantaloupe Baby

Baby Claire is the size of a cantaloupe! She weighs about 10.2 ounces and measures about 6.5 inches.

Tomorrow is the day of our 20-week ultrasound appointment. We can't wait to see how Claire is progressing!

We have paint!

We purchased paint for Claire's nursery yesterday.

It's Belle of the Ball by Behr. Here's what it looks like:

Week 19 update

How Far along? 19 weeks

Size of the Baby? According to babycenter.com, baby equals a large heirloom tomato in size and weighs 8 1/2 ounces (length: 6 inches, head to bottom).

Maternity Clothes? I love maternity clothes! I purchased a few items over the weekend, and I think I should have enough clothes to last me throughout the rest of my pregnancy.

Gender? Sweet baby girl Claire :)

Movement? I'm so ready for Trent to be able to feel Claire move!

Sleep? I'm sleeping like a baby these days.

Cravings? Thanks to a very sweet friend, I was finally able to take care of my Tiffany's Bakery craving. Thanks, Paula, for the delicious pound cake!

Symptoms? I feel great!

What I miss? I still miss sleeping on my back.

Milestones? We're looking forward to next Monday's 20-week ultrasound :)

Weight Gain? 9 lbs and right on track

What I’m excited about? I can't wait to see the nursery come together! We purchased a dresser and some pink paint over the weekend, and the chandelier for Claire's room arrived last week. Now we just need to get her crib and a rocking chair of some sort (still trying to decide between a rocking recliner or a glider).

Little Suzy Homemaker?

I've decided it's time to learn how to sew. Of course, I know nothing about using a sewing machine, but I'm ready and willing to embrace this as my new hobby.

If you're an avid sewer, or if you know anything at all about purchasing a sewing machine, please leave a comment with your feedback and advice.

I definitely want a sewing machine that monograms. With baby Claire's arrival only 4.5 months away, I'd love to start monogramming onesies and other items for her ASAP.
